Friday Bits of Bliss

A certain someone recently pointed out that it would behoove me to take inventory of all the great things in my life instead of the things I’m missing. What better time to re-institute  my Friday Bits of Bliss? So, without further adieu…

I woke up in Chicago,

got in my first workout of the week (a nice recovery spin on a recumbent bicycle),

and it’s Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Pancake day at my hotel.

I’m going to a Mavs playoff game tonight,

and I have a hot date. (My husband, Brad, of course.)

I get to see my running buddies on Saturday for our Spring training celebration,

and I get to wear all three medals I earned by completing the Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge.

I’ve almost finished my Big Sur race report. (Much like the run itself, this report is very different from my prior marathons. I’m really excited about sharing it with you.)

In 11 days, Brad and I will move into our dream house,

and we will no longer be ‘big city’ Dallas residents.

My wonderful, kind, caring, huge-hearted, and self-sacrificing Mom offered to spend her Mothers’ Day helping us pack — after a yummy breakfast, of course.

I’m still riding the post-marathon high, feeling like I can conquer the world and tackle any goal I want to make mine. Now, if only I could find the time for it all.  🙂
